The Consciousness of Water

What if water could think, feel, or even respond to us? According to the groundbreaking work of researcher and author Veda Austin, water isn’t just a passive substance — it’a conscious and communicative.

Veda Austin has spent years studying the crystalline structures that form in water after it’s exposed to various stimuli — thoughts, words, images, even emotions. Her method involves freezing drops of water and photographing the patterns that emerge. What she’s found is astonishing: the water appears to respond in intelligent, intentional ways. When shown a picture of a cat, water formed a feline-like image in ice. When told a word like “love,” it responded with beautiful, symmetrical structures. When shown the word “fear,” the patterns were more chaotic.

Her work builds on the legacy of Dr. Masaru Emoto but takes it a step further — suggesting that water not only reflects consciousness but may also have its own form of awareness. She calls this “hydroglyphics”—a symbolic language that water uses to communicate.

From a holistic and spiritual perspective, this suggests that our intentions, thoughts, and emotions may directly influence the world around us, especially the water within and around our bodies. It invites us to think of water not just as a resource but as a partner — an intelligent medium that listens, remembers, and reflects.

So the next time you pour a glass of water or step into a bath, take a moment. Speak kindly, express gratitude, and set an intention. Treat water, or anything you consume, as a living mirror — one that responds to your energy.

Because if water truly holds memory and responds to consciousness, then every drop is a chance to connect, heal, and co-create.

If you want to give it a go and do Veda’s experiments on your own, here is how:

Veda Austin's Water Crystalization Recipe (Simplified Method)

What You’ll Need:

  • Clean glass Petri dish or shallow glass dish

  • Spring water or rainwater (ideally not tap water)

  • Freezer

  • A positive intention or image to “impress” upon the water

  • A smartphone or macro camera to capture the crystal structure

  • Optional: Image, word, or sound for water exposure

📌 Step-by-Step Process:

1. Impress Intention or Image

  • Place a small amount of spring water (2Tbsp) in a Petri dish (a few millimeters deep).

  • Hold a specific intention, emotion, or word in your mind, or:

    • Place an image, word, or photo beneath or beside the dish for 30 seconds to 1 minute.

    • You can also speak or sing to the water — she often uses kind or loving words.

    • Stay open and curious

2. Freezing the Water

  • Gently place the dish in the freezer on a flat surface.

  • Freeze for about 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your freezer.

    • The goal is for partial freezing — just enough for crystals to form but not be fully solid.

    • You're looking for the moment when thin ice forms on the surface, but the center is still wet underneath.

3. Capture the Structure

  • Remove the dish very gently and take it immediately to a cold surface or cold room to avoid melting.

  • Use a macro lens or camera (like a smartphone with a macro attachment) to photograph the patterns that form.

    • The water often forms hexagonal shapes, symbols, or structures that appear to reflect the emotion or image used.
