Spring into Action

Spring enhances the wood element, which is closely associated with the liver and gallbladder, organs responsible for cleansing.

When these organs are in harmony, clarity of thought prevails, enabling one to envision, plan, and execute with a broad perspective. However, an imbalance in the wood element can lead to heightened irritability, frustration, and impatience, particularly towards those who don't share the same outlook.

Consider the following:

  • Are you propelled forward by determination and willpower or hindered by frustration and impatience?

  • Do you frequently experience headaches, whether behind the eyes (linked to the liver) or on the side of the head (related to the gallbladder)?

  • Is stored anger a driving force for change in your life?

  • Do you feel you can easily receive support and nourishment?

To restore balance to the wood element:

  • Release pent-up energy: Movement is key to nurturing wood energy. Engage in activities such as walking 8,000 steps or dancing the night away to alleviate anger and frustration.

  • Embrace bitter foods: Counter bitterness with bitter foods like grapefruit, dandelion, arugula, coffee, and cocoa nibs to tame the inner tiger.

  • Pursue personal goals: Set achievable objectives and establish a consistent routine to support your aspirations with patience and dedication.

  • Gallbladder Release: Touch the gallbladder points shown below and blow out stress.

Gallbladder Release

Touching your WOOD calming points can relieve tension and stored irritation.

When you touch and rub these points, it allows greater circulation to the gallbladder meridian. This will enable you to think more clearly and center yourself emotionally. This will relieve anger and your reaction to it.

The flowers are blooming, and birds are chirping. Do you recognize the beauty around you?
